Vancouver - Vancouver-based Harmony Airways will adjust fares on all routes in order to off set the rising cost of fuel. Prices will increase by $12 for each one-way fare, effective for tickets purchased on or after August 23, 2005. Since all Harmony routes are over 1000 miles, all destinations will carry the same price adjustment.

Travellers who book before August 22, 2005 can take advantage of Harmony's seat sale, valid for travel through spring 2006, and will not be impacted by the fuel increase. Harmony's best seat sale fares will remain lower than domestic competitors' fares for the period of August 15 - 22, 2005.

"Adjusting our fares in response to record-high fuel prices in an unfortunate but necessary move," explained Gary Collins, President and CEO. "Fuel is a large, uncontrollable cost that all airlines have to cover, but despite the increase, Harmony passengers will find that our fares are competitive and our excellent service offers real value."
