The Alberta Aviation Museum received the award for this years Schools Aerospace Challenge Program which sent a Team of Edmonton area Royal Canadian Air Cadets to the Schools Aerospace Challenge Program in Cranfield England, the first Canadian Team ever to attend.
The 2012 National Award from C.A.P.A represents the fourth year in a row that the Canadian Aeronautical Preservation Association has recognized the Alberta Aviation Museum as one of Canada’s top Aviation Museums.
2012 for the Schools Aerospace Challenge as the Outstanding Outreach Program
2011 for the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan Alberta Tour in 2010
2010 for the Spirit of Edmonton Bi Plane Centennial Flights program of 2009
2009 the Alberta Aviation Museum was recognized by it’s peers in the Canadian Aeronautical Preservation Association as one of Canada’s Nationally significant Aviation Museums.
The Alberta Aviation Museum Association will continue to pursue programming, exhibits and events of this calibre and is proud to bring home to Edmonton and Alberta the recognition that these leading efforts bring.
