Where to get your ATPL in Ontario? 7 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 0
I was wondering which schools offer the Airline transport pilots licence or how would I get it?

I want to be an airline pilot but I want to plan ahead. I currently have 0 hours 0 licences but I am going to graduate from highschool and most probably (hopefully) get into Western University's aviation program.

well to get your ATPL requires you to be 21 and have 1500 hours of flying time. the ground school is intense. I am not sure as to what flying schools offer the ATPL course. I did my ATPL training in the UK and the flying is a little different there. I will ask around and see what I come up with.

Are you talking flight school or Canadian Post Secondary schools? Seneca college I believe trains you to the IATRA level. In the UK it's called (f)ATPL. Allows you to act as an F/O till you have the requirements either age or hours to have the full ATPL

Its not really a 'school' course but more a matter of having the hours and experience then writing the exams, don't sweat over the ATPL until you've finished flight training and have the requirements (work experience) under you're belt. Then just take a weekend exam prep course and write.
