Air Transat will resume its weekly service between Montreal and Port-au-Prince, Haiti, tomorrow, March 10, following a two-month suspension of flights in the wake of the earthquake that devastated the country. "The January 12 earthquake sparked the largest humanitarian operation ever mounted by our organization. Thanks to the generosity of our employees, our customers and our partners who made it possible" said Air Transat President and Chief Executive Officer Allen B. Graham. "We are grateful to everyone who contributed directly or indirectly."

NAV CANADA air traffic management technology - currently in use in the United Kingdom and Denmark - is being adopted by an increasing number of air navigation service providers around the world.
In the latest deployment by NATS, the leading air navigation service provider in the UK, London City Airport is now using the NAV CANADA technology known as the EXCDS - Electronic Flight Progress Strips for its air traffic control tower. London City is the fifth UK airport to go live with this advanced 'paperless' flight-data system.

Over 200 Air Canada passengers were left stranded last week after their flight was cancelled due to the appearance of a huge rat!
The passengers on the Air Canada AC888, bound for London’s Heathrow Airport from Ottawa’s Macdonald-Cartier international airport, were on board and ready for take off, when the captain announced that the passengers would have to return to the departure lounge as a large rat had been spotted in the overhead lockers.
