LONGUEUIL, QC, Aug. 5 2010- Héroux-Devtek Inc. (TSX: HRX), a leading Canadian manufacturer of aerospace and industrial products, today reported its results for the first quarter of fiscal 2011 ended June 30, 2010. Results include the contribution of Eagle Tool & Machine Co. ("Eagle") and of its subsidiary All Tools, Inc. ("E2"), acquired on April 28, 2010. It also includes restructuring charges of $368,000 before taxes, equivalent to $0.01 per share net of taxes, in connection with the previously announced closure of the Rivière-des-Prairies plant. Unless otherwise indicated, all amounts are in Canadian dollars. |

Air Canada reports record load factor for July |

MONTREAL, Aug. 5 2010- For the month of July, Air Canada reported a record system load factor of 84.9 per cent on a consolidated basis with Jazz (from which Air Canada purchases regional capacity), versus 83.6 per cent in July 2009, an increase of 1.3 percentage points. System traffic increased 10.8 per cent on a system wide capacity increase of 9.1 per cent. |

Operating Income Improves $188 Million, EBITDAR Increases 147 per cent from Previous Year's Quarter
MONTREAL, Aug. 5 2010 - Air Canada today reported operating income of $75 million in the second quarter of 2010 compared to an operating loss of $113 million in the second quarter of 2009, an improvement of $188 million. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization and aircraft rent (EBITDAR) of $333 million increased $198 million from the second quarter of 2009 (an increase of 147 per cent). These results were in line with the preliminary range of operating income of $60 million to $80 million, and EBITDAR of $320 million to $340 million, announced in Air Canada's news release dated July 20, 2010.

Airline achieves 21st consecutive quarter of positive earnings with $21 million of net earnings
CALGARY, Aug. 5 2010 - WestJet (TSX:WJA) today reported second quarter 2010 net earnings of $21 million, or 14 cents per diluted share, which marks its 21st consecutive quarter of profitability and a 130 per cent increase in net earnings, year-over-year. Excluding the impact of a one-time special item related to revised estimates for provincial income tax allocation calculations in the second quarter of 2010, WestJet's adjusted second quarter net earnings for 2010 were $23.4 million or 16 cents per diluted share.

Airline reports strong growth and achieves a load factor of 80.7 per cent
CALGARY, Aug. 5 2010 - WestJet today announced July 2010 traffic results with a load factor of 80.7 per cent, up 4.3 points year over year. Revenue passenger miles (RPMs), or traffic, increased 18.2 per cent year over year. Capacity, measured in available seat miles (ASMs), grew 11.9 per cent over the same period.

The Snowbirds have been delighting spectators for 40 years, and 2010 has already proven to be a special year for 431 Air Demonstration Squadron.
The Snowbirds paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip during their recent visit to Ottawa with a flypast on Parliament Hill, part of the Canada Day festivities.
The team was scheduled to have two other opportunities to salute the Queen—the arrival ceremonies welcoming the Royal couple, and a tribute to the Canadian Naval Centennial in Halifax, just days before the Canada Day event—but low clouds and poor visibility kept the Snowbirds grounded.

Edmonton, Alta - Edmonton Airports work crews were at Edmonton City Centre Airport (ECCA) early this morning to begin the process of closing runway 16/34.
"In order to ensure the safety of our crews and prevent disruption to operations, some of the work must happen when activity at the airport is minimal," explains Steve Maybee, Director of Airside Operations.

JOHN’S, NL, – St. John’s International Airport Authority (SJIAA) announced today that the number of passengers travelling through the International Airport in St. John’s continues to grow at rates well above the national average.St. John’s International Airport was one of only six airports in Canada that experienced an increase in passenger traffic in 2009 and for the first six months of 2010 the passenger traffic numbers have exceeded last year’s totals by 8.5%.This compares to the national average growth rate of 2.8%, reported by the top 32 Canadian airports.
