Yesterday morning the Alberta Aviation Museum was proud to host Prince Michael of
Kent on a tour of our facility.
Prince Michael, a pilot in his own right, a member of the Brooklands Museum
in England was very impressed with our facility, it's extensive collection
and education programming. While on site the Prince enjoyed piloting our
DC-6 flight simulator (featuring museum developed technology) the 737 and
extensive interactives and audio visual.
A highlight of the roughly 2hr visit was our opportunity to present the
Prince with framed photographs of his father, The Duke of Kent, visit to our
facility during WW2 when it was #2AOS,part of the British Commonwealth Air
Training Plan.
Once again the Alberta Aviation Museum is proud to have presented our
history and heritage to another important international visitor to our city.
