Air Canada (TSX:AC.A) (TSX:AC.B) said on Thursday that it is now offering economy class passengers the option to reserve a seat with additional legroom.

The Preferred Seat option, available from CAD14 per one-way trip, allows travellers to choose a seat in an exit row or near internal dividers known as bulkheads, said Ben Smith, the airline's executive vice president and chief commercial officer.

Passengers will be able to select a Preferred Seat on any Air Canada or Jazz flight, at the time of booking or at any time prior to check-in, subject to availability. The number and location of Preferred Seats available will vary according to the aircraft type.
