Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) has launched Automatic Power Assurance Check (APAC) to run on its FAST™ (Flight data Acquisition Storage and Transmission System) engine diagnostic solution for P&WC-powered helicopters. APAC will give operators an end-to-end application for managing all helicopter engine performance data. The announcement was made during the Helicopter Association International (HAI) HELI-EXPO in Las Vegas, Nev. P&WC is a United Technologies Corporation company (NYSE:UTX).

Monday at the Avalon Australian International Air Show, CAE announced it has signed a contract to provide the Royal New Zealand Air Force with a Beechcraft King Air 200 ProLine 21 CAE SimfinityTM Virtual Simulator (VSIM) classroom and B200 Computer-Based Training (CBT) in support of the Interim Advanced Pilot Training Capability (IPTC) project.

Montréal International (MI) and DEL welcome the establishment of the ADETEL Group, a French firm specializing in the design of onboard electronic equipment, in Longueuil, in the borough of Saint-Hubert. ADETEL Canada, which has just signed a strategic partnership with Varitron Technologies, an electronic product assembly firm, is planning on creating around 100 specialized jobs in the next three years.

CAE today announced it has won more than C$100 million in military contracts for the defence forces of 15 countries. They include a contract from Elbit Systems to provide M-346 training devices for the Israeli Air Force, contracts from the UK Ministry of Defence to support CAE's Medium Support Helicopter Aircrew Training Facility (MSHATF), and a contract to provide maintenance and support services for the NATO E-3A training devices.

CAE today announced that it has sold seven full-flight simulators (FFSs) and a series of training devices and simulator update services. These include the sale of two Airbus A320 FFSs and a Boeing 737 FFS to Shanghai Eastern Flight Training Center (SEFTC); an A320 to the Zhuhai Flight Training Centre; and a Boeing 737 FFS, an Airbus A320 FFS and a Boeing 787 FFS to undisclosed customers.

CAE has announced that Dassault Aviation has awarded its business aviation training centres worldwide a Falcon Training Policy Manual (FTPM) certificate, which validates that CAE is delivering superior quality training services for Falcon pilots and maintenance personnel. The FTPM is the highest level attainable by a Dassault Authorized Training Provider (DATP).
