Bombardier Aerospace has confirmed that CDB Leasing Co., Ltd. (“CDB Leasing”), a subsidiary of China Development Bank (“CDB”), is the ultimate beneficial owner of the entity previously unidentified as the customer who placed an order for five Global 6000 jets on December 21, 2012. The firm order is valued at approximately $293 million US based on the 2012 list price for typically equipped aircraft.

Bombardier Aerospace announced today that Moscow-based, national leasing company, Ilyushin Finance Co. (IFC), has signed a purchase agreement to acquire 32 CS300 aircraft and options for an additional 10 CS300 aircraft. The transaction, which follows a letter of intent signed by IFC in 2011, is subject to approval by the company’s shareholders. Bombardier Aerospace today announced the start of production at its transitional facility in Morocco. Following a graduation ceremony held on February 1 at the Institut des Métiers de l’Aéronautique (IMA), 18 aircraft assemblers began production of the first Bombardier components to come out of its Moroccan manufacturing facility.

Bombardier Aerospace has continued to enhance its aftermarket offering for operators flying to Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Bombardier’s Dubai parts depot has grown and moved to a new facility, located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone area in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The expansion will allow for a greater inventory capacity and was successfully completed on September 30, 2012.
