MONTREAL - Air Canada today announced that in response to record high fuel prices, it is adjusting fares to reflect additional operating costs. The fare increase applies to all fare types including published, web and other special fares for travel on Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz and Air Canada codeshare flights within Canada.
CALGARY - WestJet (TSX:WJA) today announced its Board of Directors has approved the purchase of two additional Boeing Next-Generation 737-600 aircraft by converting two purchase options with Boeing into firm deliveries. The 737-600 aircraft are scheduled to be delivered in August 2006.

MONTREAL - Air Canada said today that it had reached a tentative agreement with the Air Canada Pilots Association (ACPA) on costs and other related issues relating to the introduction of the new Boeing wide- body aircraft in the fleet. The agreement with ACPA is subject to ratification by the union membership.

CALGARY/MONTREAL - WestJet (TSX: WJA) and Transat A.T. Inc. (TSX: TRZ.B; TRZ.RV.A) have reached a 30-month agreement that will allow leading tour operators Transat Holidays and World of Vacations to charter WestJet's Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft from Canadian gateways to designated international charter destinations. The agreement builds on the success of a two-year agreement implemented in 2003.
Bombardier Aerospace announced today that the Bombardier Q300 turboprop has been selected by the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) as a new-generation low- and medium-altitude navigation aids inspection and calibration aircraft.
