MONTREAL - Air Canada today welcomed the successful conclusion of an Open Skies Agreement for Canada and the United States. MONTREAL - Air Canada reported a system load factor of 77.9 per cent in October 2005. The mainline carrier flew 4.9 per cent more revenue passenger miles (RPMs) in October 2005 than in October 2004, according to preliminary traffic figures. CALGARY - WestJet announced its traffic statistics for October 2005 today, featuring a 16.5% increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) to 665.6 million, up from 571.5 million in October 2004. Year to date, RPMs increased 28.0% to 6,616.4 million from 5,169.0 million in the same period in 2004.

CALGARY - WestJet today announced its 2005 third quarter results with net earnings up 43.6% to $30.3 million compared to $21.1 million achieved during the same period last year. In the first nine months of 2005, the airline achieved net earnings of $23.0 million compared to $29.1 million during the first nine months of 2004.
