MONTREAL - Air Canada today welcomed the successful conclusion of an Open Skies Agreement for Canada and the United States. The agreement was reached in Washington late on Thursday November 10, following discussions involving officials from the Canadian and U.S. Governments as well as representatives of Canadian and U.S. airlines and airports.

Doug Newson, CanJet Airlines Director, Marketing & Sales, announced today that Canada’s Low Fare Airline has extended its Fall Seat Sale until midnight (Atlantic Standard Time), November 6, 2005. MONTREAL - Air Canada reported a system load factor of 77.9 per cent in October 2005. CALGARY - WestJet announced its traffic statistics for October 2005 today, featuring a 16.5% increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) to 665.6 million, up from 571.5 million in October 2004. Year to date, RPMs increased 28.0% to 6,616.4 million from 5,169.0 million in the same period in 2004.
CALGARY - WestJet today announced its 2005 third quarter results with net earnings up 43.6% to $30.3 million compared to $21.1 million achieved during the same period last year. In the first nine months of 2005, the airline achieved net earnings of $23.0 million compared to $29.1 million during the first nine months of 2004.
OTTAWA - Zoom Airlines announced today the introduction of scheduled transatlantic service from Vancouver to Belfast, Northern Ireland to Cardiff, Wales.
