Esterline CMC Electronics' (CMC) third-generation SureSight® CMA-2700 Integrated Sensor System was certified by Transport Canada (TCCA), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) as an Enhanced Vision System (EVS) for head-up display on Bombardier Global 5000* and Global 6000* aircraft equipped with the Bombardier Vision* Flight Deck. 

Bombardier Aerospace has announced that Indianapolis-based Republic Airlines is the latest airline to enrol in Bombardier’s Q400 Smart Parts cost protection program.

Bombardier Learjet has announced that its unionized employees in Wichita, members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW), have voted to accept a proposed contract agreement, ending a strike action that began on October 8, 2012. Employees may return to work as early as November 12, 2012.

Bombardier today reported its financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2012. Revenues totalled $4.3 billion, compared to $4.6 billion for the corresponding period last fiscal year. Earnings before financing expense, financing income and income taxes (EBIT) totalled $248 million, versus $301 million last fiscal year. The EBIT margin was at 5.7%, compared to 6.5% last fiscal year.

Demonstrating its commitment to China and the broader Asia-Pacific marketplace, Bombardier is pleased to return to Airshow China in Zhuhai for its 2012 edition, where it will showcase its diversified portfolio of business and commercial aircraft, and its superior customer support services.

Bombardier’s Challenger program has reached a significant milestone with the entry-into-service of the 200th Challenger 605 business jet. The aircraft was handed over to its new owner (who wishes to remain anonymous) during a special ceremony at the Challenger facility in Dorval, Québec, in October 2012, with hundreds of proud employees in attendance.

 Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) has signed a four-year Engine Service Agreement with Bombardier Aerospace to provide the highest level of OEM support to Learjet*60* business jet operators. The announcement was made yesterday by Raffaele Virgili, vice-president, customer service, P&WC, during the National Business Aviation Association's 65th annual meeting and convention in Orlando, Florida. P&WC is a United Technologies Corp. company (NYSE:UTX).

Flexjet, the first fractional jet ownership company to offer shares on the all-new Learjet 85 aircraft, and business aircraft manufacturer Bombardier, will be in Orlando on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012, spotlighting the mock-up at a special event during the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) 65th Annual Meeting & Convention. Bombardier and CAE continued to expand their customer services offering for the growing number of Bombardier business jet operators in Europe, announcing today that they will establish a new Bombardier-dedicated training center in Amsterdam, scheduled to open in 2014. Bombardier has also appointed CAE as the Authorized Training Provider (ATP) for business jet pilot and maintenance training in Europe, and named CAE as the worldwide Authorized Training Provider for Global 5000, Global 6000, Global 7000 and Global 8000 business jets.

FLYHT Aerospace Solutions Ltd. (TSX-V: FLY) (the “Company” or “FLYHT”) is pleased to report that the first factory installation on a CRJ900 has been completed by Bombardier Aerospace for delivery to China Express Airlines. The CRJ900 is the second aircraft that was delivered with AFIRS onboard  to China Express Airlines.
