Bombardier Aerospace announced today that it has received orders for a total of eight Global business jets from an undisclosed customer. The firm orders consist of four Global 6000 aircraft and four Global 8000 aircraft. The customer has requested to remain unidentified at this time. The transaction is valued at approximately $500 million US based on the 2012 list price for typically equipped aircraft.

Bombardier Aerospace today announced the opening of a new Regional Support Office (RSO) in Moscow. The RSO, operated by Bombardier Aerospace Services Russia LLC, will serve as a regional support hub for the growing number of commercial aircraft customers in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The new office complements Bombardier’s customer services expansion strategy and is the 11th regional support location for Bombardier customers to open outside North America in the past four years.
Bombardier Aerospace has once again geared up for a series of customer-focused events targeted at Europe-based operators. This week, Bombardier Customer Services is hosting a Maintenance & Operations (M&O) conference in Berlin, Germany, tailored for operators of Bombardier business aircraft based in Europe, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Middle East and Africa as well as a Regional Review in Moscow for operators of commercial aircraft based in Russia and the CIS.

Bombardier Aerospace today welcomed Eznis Airways LLC to the growing family of Bombardier Q400 aircraft operators. Eznis Airways LLC, the largest private airline in Mongolia, has acquired a previously owned Q400 aircraft and has started service in the country with the fast and fuel-efficient turboprop. Eznis acquired the Q400 aircraft through Nordic Aviation Capital, the Denmark-based leasing company.
Bombardier Aerospace today announced that it is continuing its regionalization and closer focus on customers by establishing, through one of its US subsidiaries, a Bombardier Commercial Aircraft sales and marketing office in Dallas, Texas to serve the United States and the growth markets of Latin America. The sales and marketing team will be co-located with Flexjet, the Bombardier group that provides fractional jet ownership and services in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area, a growing aviation industry hub in the United States.

Bombardier Aerospace announced today that the assembly of the test airframe for its all-new CSeries aircraft is well underway at the company’s Experimental Test Facility in St-Laurent, Québec. The test article will be used during the Complete Airframe Static Test (CAST) that is designed to demonstrate the static strength of the airframe and show compliance with certification requirements.
