Bombardier Aerospace announced today that the development of the CSeries aircraft is making excellent progress as the program readies to transition to the flight test phase in order to achieve first flight by the end of June 2013.

Bombardier Aerospace announced today that Moscow-based, national leasing company, Ilyushin Finance Co. (IFC), has signed a purchase agreement to acquire 32 CS300 aircraft and options for an additional 10 CS300 aircraft. The transaction, which follows a letter of intent signed by IFC in 2011, is subject to approval by the company’s shareholders. A signing ceremony to commemorate the agreement was held today during a visit by IFC and Russian dignitaries to Bombardier’s final assembly facility for the CSeries aircraft in Mirabel, Québec.

Bombardier Aerospace announced today that airBaltic has signed a firm purchase agreement to acquire 10 all-new Bombardier CS300 airliners.

Bombardier Aerospace announced today that an airline, which is based in the Americas, has signed a Letter of Intent to acquire 12 CS100 airliners with options on an additional 18. At this time the airline has requested to remain undisclosed.

L-3 MAS recently celebrated the delivery of structural components to be installed on the Bombardier Aerospace CSeries*™ flight test aircraft.

L-3 MAS recently celebrated the delivery of 65-foot-long structural support kits designed to support the flight test program and certification of Bombardier’s CSeries™ aircraft manufactured jointly with the Bombardier Mirabel Tubing Centre (BMTC). This delivery fulfills the latest of many orders received by L-3 MAS since 2011 supporting the CSeries aircraft program.

 Bombardier Aerospace announced today that the cockpit and all fuselage sections for the CSeries aircraft’s first flight test vehicle (FTV1) have arrived at Mirabel, Québec, and that the assembly of FTV1 is in progress.

Bombardier Aerospace announced today that the CSeries aircraft flight deck and cabin demonstrators are on display at Hangar 3 (Augsburg Airways GmbH) at Munich Airport until September 24, 2012. Direct from a roadshow in Riga, Latvia where they were on display for newly announced CSeries aircraft customer, airBaltic, the demonstrators have travelled across Europe from the Farnborough International Airshow 2012 where close to 1,000 visitors experienced the aircraft’s interactive full-scale mock-up.

Bombardier Aerospace announced today that the company is now conducting virtual flights with “Aircraft 0”* – the on-the-ground Integrated Systems Test and Certification Rig (ISTCR) for the CSeries aircraft. The avionics, electrical, flight control, fly-by-wire, hydraulic, landing gear and wiring systems are now all commissioned, and systems integration and communication have been successfully demonstrated. The development of the CSeries aircraft will now enter the intense ground testing phase that will build the necessary maturity for all systems and drive towards the flight test program.
