Alaska Airlines' Torque Zubeck has been named managing director of financial planning and analysis. Zubeck, a 13-year veteran of the airline, previously served as managing director of Alaska Air Cargo. Prior to that, Zubeck held positions in marketing/planning, financial planning and managed the commercial relationships with Alaska Airlines' codeshare partners.

New Airbus aircraft list prices for 2013

Airbus has increased the average list prices of its aircraft by 3.6 per cent. The new pricing is effective from January 1st 2013. The 3.6 per cent price increase has been calculated according to Airbus’ standard escalation formula over the January 2012 to January 2013 period.

Cathay Pacific Airways today released combined Cathay Pacific and Dragonair traffic figures for December 2012 that show an increase for both passenger numbers and cargo and mail tonnage compared to the same month last year.

National carrier Gulf Air’s management today met with the representatives of the airline’s two unions - GATU and NTAGU – to brief them on the airline’s restructuring strategy, approved by the Chairman and members of Gulf Air Board of Directors.

Following the appointment of a new Board of Directors in November last year, led by H.E. Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister,the Executive Restructuring Committee and the Gulf Air management have been working on a balanced restructuring strategy that will take the airline on a path towards sustainability and support the future economic development of Bahrain.
