Bombardier Aerospace announced today that the development of the CSeries aircraft is making excellent progress as the program readies to transition to the flight test phase in order to achieve first flight by the end of June 2013.

Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced the Cessna TTx completed its first production flight on Saturday, March 2. The single engine composite aircraft departed from the Cessna facility in Independence, Kan. and performed the flight in and around southeast Kansas.

AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce two corporate operators, located in the Eastern United States, have signed contracts for AW139 twin engine helicopters. AgustaWestland Philadelphia will build and deliver the two helicopters in 2013 and they will be used for corporate transportation.
AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that Wagners Development Company Pty Ltd of Australia has signed a contract for an AW119Kx single engine helicopter. The aircraft, which is expected to be delivered in the third quarter of this year, will be used for VIP/Corporate transport missions in Towoomba, Queensland. This order marks the entrance of the new AW119Kx into the Australasian market.
Gulfstream Aerospace Corp.’s new ultra-large-cabin, ultra-long-range G650 recently set another city-pair speed record, this time between Melbourne and Abu Dhabi. The record is the flagship aircraft’s sixth potential record this year.

Boeing (NYSE: BA) and Cathay Pacific Airways today announced an order for three 747-8 Freighter airplanes. The order, valued at approximately $1 billion at list prices, also includes options for five additional 777 Freighters. The new additions will bolster Cathay Pacific's 747-8 Freighter fleet to 13 airplanes.

Boeing [NYSE: BA] announced today that Air China has agreed to buy two Boeing 747-8 Intercontinentals, one 777-300ER (Extended Range) and 20 Next-Generation 737-800s. In addition, Air China Cargo, a subsidiary of Air China, has agreed to buy eight 777 Freighters. The airline plans to expand its capacity to meet growing demand in Asia-Pacific and China, the most dynamic market for commercial airplanes.
