“Where have 35 years gone?”

Chief Warrant Officer Miles Barham posed that question on November 9, 2012, as he prepared to hand over his appointment as Chief Warrant Officer of the Royal Canadian Air Force to Chief Warrant Officer Kevin West. CWO Barham held the position of the most senior non-commissioned member of the RCAF for two and a half years.

Air Force soars at Maple Resolve 2012

“I’m in charge of every thing that flies for this exercise,” explained Lieutenant-Colonel Jeff Smyth, the air component coordination element (ACCE) director for Exercise Maple Resolve 2012.

Chief Warrant Officer Tom Walker, a Royal Canadian Air Force traffic technician, has received a citation for bravery from the commissioner of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). CWO Walker received the citation at a ceremony in Kemptville, Ont., just outside Ottawa, for pulling a quadriplegic man out of a burning vehicle near Ignace, Ont., on August 1, 2011. He was off duty at the time.
