Sandy Bodet, aged 21, has been training as an apprentice for more than two years at the Airbus plant in Saint-Nazaire. She works on the structural assembly of the nose cone of Airbus’ emblematic aircraft, the A380, as a structure fitter.

Flexjet, the world’s second largest fractional jet ownership provider, has received the coveted Diamond Award of Excellence from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Diamond Award of Excellence is the FAA’s highest honor for maintenance training, and Flexjet is the only company that also manages a fractional jet ownership program to receive this award for 14 consecutive years.

Routes Europe 2012 Wins Conference of the Year

Avcorp Industries Inc. ("AVP" or the "Company") today announced that it has received a 2012 Silver Boeing Performance Excellence Award. The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. Avcorp maintained a Silver composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period, from Oct. 1, 2011, to Sept. 30, 2012.

GE Aviation and StandardAero received the prestigious 2012 Canadian American Business Council (CABC) Achievement Award for their collaboration on the GE Aviation Engine Testing, Research and Development Centre (TRDC) in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The award was presented on November 19 at a special event held at the Ottawa Convention Center.

Former Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) chief engineer Phil Saunders will be honored by the Society of Aerospace Engineers (SAE) International for a career of distinction in the aerospace industry. Saunders was selected for his innovations that helped fuel the company's successful development of the U.S. Air Force's B-2 stealth bomber and the U.S. Navy's X-47B Unmanned Combat Air System (UCAS).
