Piper Aircraft Inc. ended 2012 with increased annual revenue from new aircraft sales of $148,968,967, up more than 13 percent from $131,263,539 in 2011. The revenue increase was a result of a 16 percent rise in new Piper deliveries to 158 aircraft in 2012 from 136 the previous year.

Héroux-Devtek Reports Third Quarter Results

Héroux-Devtek Inc. (TSX: HRX), ("Héroux-Devtek" or the "Corporation"), a leading Canadian manufacturer of aerospace products, today reported its results for the third quarter of fiscal 2013 ended December 31, 2012. Unless otherwise indicated, all amounts are in Canadian dollars.

Bombardier Aerospace today announced the start of production at its transitional facility in Morocco. Following a graduation ceremony held on February 1 at the Institut des Métiers de  l’Aéronautique (IMA), 18 aircraft assemblers began production of the first Bombardier components to come out of its Moroccan manufacturing facility.

Boeing [NYSE: BA] has begun assembly of the first Next-Generation 737 to be built at the rate of 38 airplanes per month. Over the past two years, production of the 737 has risen more than 20 percent, from 31.5 to 38 airplanes a month. In 2014, the rate will go up again to 42 airplanes a month.
