Nanaimo lands new WestJet service

WestJet today announced the launch of new non-stop daily service between Nanaimo, British Columbia and Calgary. The service will be operated by WestJet Encore's fleet of Bombardier Q400 NextGen aircraft.

Horizon Air passenger service agents in Vancouver and Victoria, B.C., who are represented by the Canadian Auto Workers, have ratified a new three-year contract. All of the 44 agents at the two airports who participated in the ratification vote approved the contract, which expires on Feb. 14, 2016.

WestJet announces new U.S. destinations

WestJet today announced the launch of new non-stop service between Toronto and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and between Calgary and Dallas, Texas, beginning this spring. Flights on both routes will be operated using the airline's fleet of Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft.
